Weekend Description

Learn to navigate the emotions and translate your feelings creatively.

Our cultural and social upbringing helped mold how we categorize our feelings. It taught us how we should express them or when those feelings were unwelcome.  Many of us have learned the binary model of emotions: acceptable/unacceptable, good/bad, and appropriate/ inappropriate. But what happens when suppressing an emotion is no longer available? Or when we can no longer pretend that “all is well” yet asking for help or support has been labeled “weak?”

In other words, we have seldom been asked to translate our feelings, welcome them, or be curious about what a particular emotion might tell us.

This somatic journey through the mandala of emotions is about listening to yourself. Exploring the nuances of each emotion through writing, drawing, sound, and movement, we might be better equipped to consider these questions:
• What does compassion have to offer?
• How might I move with frustration?
• Is lament advising me?

We will creatively engage in:
• Intuitive movement
• Deep Relaxation
• Bilateral drawing
• Redefining our emotional lens

This workshop is for any, and everyone… especially those who want to be in a supportive community where we can collectively re-imagine a relationship with ALL the emotions we have—and welcome them.  Our aim is to support each other in navigating the mandala of emotions.

“I truly treasure every training I have ever done with Chanti. She creates safe and timeless space to explore and rest in the Sacred. She integrates a multitude of practices that help access parts of self that otherwise hide…she is a truly gifted teacher and wonderful soul”
