Yoga Trainings and Certifications Background
Christina has been a mover all her life. After graduating from St. Olaf College in 2000 with her degrees in Dance and Economics, she traveled to NYC and immediately began intensive teacher training in both Pilates and yoga while she also worked in the corporate world. When she moved back to Minnesota in 2004, she began teaching yoga and after a few years (and 2 kids), she was encouraged by her students to open a studio. The stars aligned for a space, a couple of amazing teachers, and voila; yoga became a full time career.
Christina is a graduate of Devanadi’s 340hr Yoga Teacher Training Program.
Through the years the challenges of balancing family, friends, career, and the desire to continue learning for personal growing have been the foundation for all of her teaching. Deeply influenced by Tanya, Rod Stryker and the teachings of Para Yoga, Christina takes her wide range of education and truly teaches from her heart and her own life experiences in an authentic, down to earth way. She loves to teach workshops and inspire students from that extended platform, but she also realizes that most yogis need a daily dose of what makes yoga so powerful. Therefore, she has continued to teach open classes at her studio, CENTER Studio, and has developed incredible insight and skill into what it takes to lead inspiring and meaningful studio classes to enrich the day-to-day lives of the everyday yogi. She is excited to share this knowledge and experience with aspiring teachers, whether they plan to teach to large groups, or they just want to deepen their self-knowledge to make their own practice more powerful. Intention is everything.
